Trust Fall

Trust in the Lord with all your heart… Proverbs 3: 5-6

From overflow to trusting in God to provide abundantly.

God has had me in a season of having just what I need when I need it, and it’s building my faith. And if you know what it’s like, then you know that sometimes it feels like a lack, and you’re stretching everything. Sometimes feeling like this could make you want to compromise OR dig deeper into trusting God. That is why it’s so important to guard your heart. I read James chapter 4, and it helped me to remember my “why?” “Why have I taken on the task of working at a school?” “Why did I say yes to housing foreign exchange students?” “Why have I befriended this person or that person?” God is intentional, and when we examine ourselves, which He asks us to do often, we are able to posture our hearts in obedience to His will and seek Him in all we do. God does not put us in a position of lack, but we are strengthened by hard times. This helps us to “submit to God and resist the devil…”. James 4:7-8 This all goes back to trusting in God and believing in His word; that Jesus is the way, the truth, and life. We are given the gift of salvation, and in this world, it doesn’t come with ease. It actually guarantees hardships, trials, temptation, and tests. And the will of God is to not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:1-2 And this requires us to trust Him with all our heart and lean not unto our own understanding, which leads us to acknowledge Him, and He will direct our path.
